We are looking for a Planning Engineer Leader, whose main function will be:

  • Prepare and update the Project Schedule, in all levels, during all Project phases, using Primavera P6 Software.
  • Fix, as per contract requirements, main Project milestones. Review the Project activities to verify that they are consistent with contract milestones achievement. 
  • Review and evaluate the duration of all activities, for all disciplines, and to include them in the Schedule, verifying consistency with Project milestones. Monthly update the actual dates. Reschedule the dates when original planned dates were not achieved. 
  • Establish relationships among activities. Verify the relationships during Schedule update.
  • Prepare scheduled progress curves, as per Project Schedule. Perform weekly the actual progress calculation, with maximum detail level, as per project WBS. 
  • Load and level resources in the Schedule. Generate Manpower histograms and follow up Manpower, including actual data and forecast. 
  • Provide required Information for procurement process, including required delivery dates for equipment and materials, in order to evaluate bids. 
  • Develop representative quantities curves, for Engineering issue and for field installation.
  • Prepare Project weekly and monthly progress reports in the due dates, to be submitted to Client. Prepare internal reports on Project status, as per company corporate requirements. 
  • Obtain from all disciplines the necessary Information to prepare reports, update the Schedule and calculate progress. Inform all disciplines about the Schedule and ensure their understanding.
  • Update databases for Engineering, procurement and Construction control, including all planning Information and obtaining the necessary data. Use the in-house software that operates this control databases.

 

Skills for the position:

  • Relevant technical degree (e.g. Civil/Mechanical Engineering)
  • At least 5  years of experience in project management, with a focus on planning and proven experience through all project phases.
  • Extensive experience in refinery, petrochemicals or power.
  • Strong interpersonal/communicative skills
  • Foreign site experience would be a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This includes the ability to clearly convey information to team members, stakeholders, and upper management.
  • Leadership is required to lead and motivate their team to achieve project goals. This includes setting a clear vision, providing guidance and support, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and requirements being able to pivot when necessary to keep the project on track.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Effective problem-solving identifying potential issues, developing solutions, and implementing plans to address them.
  • Availability to travel and work at site depending on assignment

 

Tolls:

Knowledge of plus experience in Primavera P6 and MS Office.
