Project Engineer USA & CANADA

We are looking for professionals in Project Engineering for projects in the USA and Canada. The position will be based in Madrid.

Main responsibilities

  • Strong background in project coordination, cost control, resource management, and client interface.
  • Acting as a liaison between the on-site teams, the design engineer, vendor representatives, and other technical representatives to resolve technical issues.
  • Monitoring schedule, budget, quality, and project performance.
  • Interdisciplinary coordination is required aimed at achieving within the scheduled time and established cost, the quality of the work and deliverables according to the contractual requirements.
  • Promote and coordinate the resolution of technical problems and propose solutions to Project Management.
  • Participation in meetings at a technical level with representatives of the Client, suppliers and/or Licensors, fundamentally HAZOP, P&ID, 3D Model Review, etc. and coordinate the closing of actions.
  • Coordinate the documents to be issued by the disciplines (specifications, plans, requisitions, etc.) necessary to cover the defined scope.
  • Review the requisitions from Bid requests to requisition to Purchase, the technical tabulations and technical recommendations for the award of equipment and materials. Carry out the complete tracking of purchases until delivery on site and tests.
  • Identify the changes for their correct control and follow-up and their consideration of potential change orders, for their correct processing with the client.
  • Provide support to the extent necessary to Construction.

Required profile and experience

  • More than 10 years of experience in Oil&Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Fertilizers, Energy sector. Minimum 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Have knowledge of Project-specific compliance requirements, general awareness of environmental laws, awareness of Governmental laws and Governmental compliance standards.
  • The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills, capable of delivering results in a dynamic and demanding environment. 
  • Navisworks 3D.
  • Microsoft Office. 
  • English C1.
